Let's pause our story for a moment and look at some useful Dutch words and phrases from this first part.

  • mooi weer - beautiful weather, Het is vandaag mooi weer.
  • zoeken - to look for, Ik zoek mooie bloemen.
  • planten - plants, Ik koop drie planten.

— It's beautiful weather today.
  • Ik zoek mooie bloemen. — I'm looking for beautiful flowers.
  • Heeft u ook lavendel? — Do you also have lavender?
  • Kan ik u helpen? — Can I help you?
  • Ik zoek ook nog potgrond. — I'm also looking for potting soil.
  • Dat is twaalf euro vijftig. — That is twelve euros fifty., Goed gedaan!
