Let's pause our story for a moment to look at some key phrases and words you just heard.

  • marcher — to walk, Je marche dans la rue.
  • regarder — to look at, Je regarde la télévision.
  • chercher — to look for, Je cherche mes clés.

'Merci beaucoup!' Je dis. Il me dit 'De rien'.

— I am at the flea market.
  • Je cherche un objet unique. — I am looking for a unique object.
  • C'est une petite boîte en bois. — It is a small wooden box.
  • Quel est le prix de cette boîte? — What is the price of this box?
  • Pouvez-vous faire neuf euros? — Can you make it nine euros?
  • Je suis très contente! — I am very happy!, Excellent! Vous parlez déjà un peu français.
