Let's take a quick moment to look at some key vocabulary from that first part of the story.

  • rausbringen — to take out, Ich muss den Müll rausbringen.
  • der Müll — the trash/garbage, Der Müll ist voll.
  • der gelbe Sack — the yellow bag (for recycling plastic/packaging), Der gelbe Sack ist voll.
  • voll — full, Die Tonne ist voll.
  • tragen — to carry, Ich trage den Sack.
  • der Nachbar — the neighbor, Mein Nachbar kommt., Gut gemacht!

— I have to take out the trash.
  • Der gelbe Sack ist voll. — The yellow bag is full.
  • Ist heute der gelbe Sack dran? — Is it the yellow bag's turn today?
  • Wir müssen den Müll richtig trennen. — We have to separate the trash correctly.
  • Er eilt schnell zurück ins Haus. — He hurries back into the house quickly.
  • Schön, wenn man gute Nachbarn hat. — It's nice to have good neighbors., Fantastisch! Du machst große Fortschritte. Weiter so!
