Il sole splende, la sabbia è calda. Siete in spiaggia, avete sete.

Cosa prendo? Forse un'acqua fredda, o forse un succo. Mi avvicino e dico, 'Buongiorno!'

Let's pause our story for a moment and look at some useful words from that scene.

  • spiaggia — beach, Un giorno andiamo in spiaggia.
  • caldo — hot (temperature), Fa molto caldo oggi.
  • prendere — to take/to get/to have (food/drink), Prendo un caffè, per favore.
  • buongiorno — good morning/hello, Buongiorno a tutti!, Ora che conosciamo queste parole, torniamo alla nostra storia in spiaggia!

Il signore mi sorride. 'Buongiorno!' risponde lui. 'Cosa desidera?' 'Ecco a lei,' dice. 'Quanto costa?' chiedo. 'Due euro,' risponde. Gli do i soldi.
