Let's take a moment to look at some of the useful Korean phrases we just heard in the story.

  • 줄이고 싶어요 — I want to shorten it, 이 바지를 줄이고 싶어요.
  • 입어보라고 하셨죠 — (She) told me to try it on, 이 코트를 입어보라고 하셨어요.
  • 얼마나 — how much/how many (for quantity/degree), 얼마나 기다려야 해요?
  • 줄일까요 — Shall I shorten it? (as asked by tailor),

— This skirt is a bit long, so I want to shorten it.
— How much should I shorten it?
— The alteration will take about one week.
— Please come to pick it up next Wednesday.
— How much is it?
