Eu sempre quis aprender a dançar. Então, procurei por algo que me interessasse. Encontrei um folheto pequeno com a palavra 'dança'. 'Aula de dança? Sim, eu quero tentar!' Mas eu não sabia onde era a sala. Preciso perguntar.

Let's pause our story for a moment to look at some key vocabulary and phrases from that first part. These words will help you talk about activities and places.

  • centro comunitário — community center, O centro comunitário tem muitas aulas.
  • muita gente — many people, Tem muita gente aqui hoje.
  • animada — excited (feminine), Eu estou muito animada!
  • aulas — classes/lessons, As aulas começam agora.
  • eu quero — I want, Eu quero aprender português.
  • dançar — to dance, Você gosta de dançar?, Agora que conhecemos algumas palavras importantes, vamos voltar para a minha busca pela aula de dança.

Eu estava um pouco perdida. Vi uma moça simpática perto da recepção. 'Com licença, por favor. Onde fica a sala de aula de dança?' perguntei. Ela sorriu e respondeu: 'Claro! É no primeiro andar, à direita. É a Sala Alegria.' 'Muito obrigada!', eu disse, já sentindo um alívio. Subi as escadas e encontrei a sala. A música já tocava! Abri a porta e entrei. Havia muitas pessoas. A professora, com um sorriso acolhedor, disse: 'Olá! Seja bem-vinda!' Eu me senti em casa na hora. Que bom que eu vim! Adorei a sensação de experimentar algo novo e conhecer um lugar tão acolhedor.
