Rien. J'ai regardé ma porte. Elle est fermée. Je ne peux pas entrer. C'est un grand problème ! Que faire ? J'ai mon téléphone, c'est déjà ça. Je dois trouver un serrurier. J'ai besoin d'aide rapidement. Je suis un peu paniquée. Je ne sais pas où aller. Paris est grand. Où est le serrurier le plus proche ? Je cherche sur mon téléphone. Ah, en voilà un, pas très loin...

Let's pause our story for a moment to look at some useful phrases from that scene.

  • claquer la porte — to slam the door, Elle a claqué la porte en partant.
  • chercher — to look for, Je cherche mes clés.
  • fouiller — to search/rummage, J'ai fouillé dans mon sac.

— I slammed the door behind me.
  • J'ai perdu mes clés. — I lost my keys.
  • Ma porte est fermée. — My door is closed.
  • J'ai besoin d'aide rapidement. — I need help quickly.
  • Il faut faire un devis. — We need to make a quote.
  • Il m'a fait un double de clé. — He made me a duplicate key., Bravo !
