Cosa diresti?

Let's pause our story for a moment to look at some useful words and phrases you just heard.

  • aiutare — to help, Voglio aiutare le persone.
  • comunità — community, La comunità è importante per me.
  • ufficio — office, L'ufficio è aperto fino alle cinque.
  • volontariato — volunteering, Faccio volontariato ogni settimana.
  • sono qui per — I am here for, Sono qui per un appuntamento.
  • Cosa desidera? — What do you wish? / What would you like?, La signora chiede: "Cosa desidera?", Ora che abbiamo rivisto queste parole, torniamo alla nostra storia per scoprire come continua.

Spiego: 'Vorrei fare volontariato. In Italia, è comune dire 'Prego' in molti contesti, come 'You're welcome' o 'Please'.

— I want to help my community.
  • Sono qui per il volontariato. — I am here for volunteering.
  • Cosa desidera? — What do you wish?
