Siete mai andati in un ufficio parrocchiale?

Non so bene come iniziare.

Let's take a moment to look at some useful words and phrases from that first part of the story.

  • l'ufficio parrocchiale — the church office. Devo andare all'ufficio parrocchiale.
  • il certificato — the certificate. Ho bisogno di un certificato di battesimo.
  • chiedere — to ask. Devo chiedere un'informazione.
  • il parroco — the parish priest. Il parroco è molto gentile.
  • la segreteria — the secretary's office / desk. La segreteria apre alle dieci.
  • occupata — busy (feminine).

Lei annuisce. 'Certo, ha già un modulo da compilare?' 'No, non ho nulla,' rispondo.

Ripetete dopo di me!

  • Devo andare all'ufficio parrocchiale. — I have to go to the church office.
  • Vorrei chiedere un certificato di battesimo. — I would like to ask for a baptism certificate.

  • Ha già un modulo da compilare? — Do you already have a form to fill out?
  • Il parroco sarà disponibile nel pomeriggio. — The parish priest will be available in the afternoon.
