Respirei fundo e me aproximei do balcão. Ela digitou no computador, procurando. O silêncio parecia longo. Comecei a me preocupar.

Let's pause our story for a moment to look at some useful words and phrases from what you just heard.

  • chegar — to arrive, Eu cheguei ao hotel.
  • recepção — reception desk, A recepção do hotel é moderna.
  • procurar — to look for, Ela está procurando a reserva.
  • ter certeza — to be sure, Eu tenho certeza da minha reserva., Muito bem!

Finalmente, a recepcionista levantou a cabeça. Ah, sim! Encontrei sua reserva. Um quarto no terceiro andar, certo? Eu disse: Sim, isso mesmo! Ela me entregou um cartão-chave magnético e sorriu. Fazer o check-in sozinho me deixou com mais confiança no meu português.

Agora, vamos praticar algumas frases úteis para você usar no hotel.
